Preschool Graduation Hawaiian Style

Isaac and Thys, on our way to the celebration at the BYUH gym

I love the expression on Isaac's face, look at my well-behaved boys :)

I knew it wouldn't last, they couldn't help themselves during one of the performances.
Their performances were the best!
The after party! The amount of treats, leis and food is truly amazing!

Isaac and Thys with one of their many wonderful teachers.

Isaac and Thys' good friend Makana.

School Year Wrap-up

The end of the school year ended with a talent show in which Aylaina and Taylor were participants along with their friends Emily and Christopher.  Way to go!
Emily and Aylaina performed a dance routine

Christopher, Taylor and Talai performed a magic show (see Christopher levitating off the table)

Ms. Class Secretary

Meet the new secretary of the student council at Hauula Elementary.  Elections were held the last week of school, she had to make posters and give a speech...she was victorious!

Aylaina's speech, she even threw a little Hawaiian language (thank you Keli'i) in
there...I think it won her a few more points!

Spring Happenings

Other mentionable Spring moments: Anniversary, Mom&Dad come to town, Fieldtrips, Baseball etc.

My day with the boys and our unexpected trip to the Hawaii Temple Visitors Center.  Our purpose at the temple was to purchase baptism clothing for Taylor, but Thys wouldn't leave until we visited the Jesus statue.

13 years together!  To celebrate our anniversary we went paddleboarding in Haleiwa
and then dinner at Kua'aina.  Horay for us!
Thys getting his final checkup before he starts Kindergarten, I wish I could post his stats on here so that I can remember them, but they are all packed away at the moment.
Isaac getting a physical for preschool.  He actually had a good attitude at the doctor's this time around, must be because he watched his brother do it first.

Preschool fieldtrip trip to Gunstock Ranch.
 First horsey rides!

Taylor played baseball with cousin Aiken and Uncle Keli'i as coach.

Unexpected visit from mom and dad...always love seeing them come and always hate it when they leave.

The Dweebs, Isaac and Ronin, enjoying the Turtle Bay pool with Grandma Debbie.

Another preschool fieldtrip to the Bishops Museum in Honolulu

Mothers Day Drive

Tantalus Drive.  It was a fabulous way to celebrate Mothers Day.  It was a world away from a busy city with clean, fragrant air and amazing views.  I want to go back.

I love my kids, I love being a mom, I love that our family is at a fun stage where one parent isn't left behind with the little ones.  We all get to play together at the same time and I'm enjoying almost every minute of it :)

Its May Day 2012

Toy Story Soldiers, Elvis Presley and a Maori Dancer...it must be May Day in Hawaii!
I do love May Day, it's crazy busy, but it's so much fun.  The kids prep for months for these performances, parents volunteer lots of time to sew and prep costumes, its quite the production.

Bright Beginnings Preschool performed a Toy Story medley with groups of adorable cowboys, buzz lightyears, Jessie's, Barbies, Senioritas, and of course the most adorable toy soldiers (I'm biased :)

The boys really had a great time and surprisingly Isaac even joined in the dancing....so so cute!

Aiken & Taylor

Taylor performed an Elvis Presley number...unfortunately his performance was the same time as Thys and Isaac's performance, I was so sad to miss it.  I heard it was awesome, and I'll have to post footage from Auntie Megan later on.  I have to say he makes an awesome Elvis Presley and I must mention that I even sewed the sequin scarfs for his class...I never sew.

Aylaina's 5th grade class performed a Maori number complete with poi balls, sticks and haka dance perfomed by the boys...it was pretty awesome!  Here's a few clips from their performance.

What a day! Can't wait for next year!
