Nye Suprise!

We were so delighted to have the Nyes here for a whole week to ourselves.  When we found out they were coming, Jared and I tried really hard to keep it a secret for our kids...it was no easy task, nothing goes on around here that Aylaina doesn't know about.  Somehow we managed to keep it a secret and the effort was well worth it.  Aylaina was almost speechless when she opened the door and saw her beloved Brock standing at our door.  It was perfect!

Not only did we see some great waves, but whales as well.

If there was ever a hillbilly kayaking adventure, this would have been it.  We loaded down one kayak and one little inflatable raft with twelve people. We kayaked to Chinamans Hat, the tide was so low that we were scraping against the rocks and had to walk the rest of the way.
